• Steep hinterland driveways. Anywhere behind the coast — Mudgeeraba, Tallai, Currumbin Valley — the driveways are long, steep and often single-lane. A loaded truck cannot reverse down one safely.
• New estates in Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau. Narrow streets, soft nature strips, and construction traffic. Trucks get stuck in ways that are expensive and embarrassing.

The wet season is a real planning factor

South-east Queensland’s wet season runs roughly November to March, and the Pacific Motorway has been cut at various points in past years. Build a buffer into your lease or settlement dates over summer, and treat any removalist who promises an exact delivery hour in February as someone who is guessing.
