The 4.5 tonne truck holds 20 to 22 cubic metres. In real terms that is a studio, a one-bedroom apartment, or a well-packed two-bedroom unit in a single load. The two removalists are employees who have done this street before, not casual labour hired for the morning.
Included in the hourly rate, with no separate charge: moving blankets, trolleys and a fridge trolley, straps, shrink wrap, and the tools to take beds, wardrobes and dining tables apart and put them back together. You are not hiring a truck and a pair of hands — you are hiring a crew with equipment.

Small removalists for single items and part-loads
Not every job is a whole house. We regularly do:
- Single items — a lounge from a Facebook Marketplace seller, a bed frame from a warehouse, a desk between offices.
- One room out of a share house — quoted on the room, not the property.
- Part-loads to storage — half the furniture to a unit while renovations finish.
- Two-stop jobs — pick up from one address, drop at two. The second stop is travel time, not a second callout.
All of these fall under the two-hour minimum, which is the fairest way to price them. We are not going to invent extra line items on top.

When two men and a truck is the wrong answer
We would rather send the right crew than the cheapest one. Book bigger if:
- You have a full two or three-bedroom house. Two trips in a 4.5t truck costs more than one trip in a 6.5t. This is the most common and most expensive booking mistake.
- There are more than two flights of stairs. A third removalist usually pays for itself before lunch.
- The building has a strict lift window. Finishing inside a four-hour booking with three people beats being rebooked to another day with two.

A man with a van is one person and 6 to 10 cubic metres, so you frequently end up helping lift, doing multiple trips, or arranging furniture disassembly yourself. If you have a fridge, a queen bed or stairs, two removalists finish in less time and the total is normally lower.
Can you move a single item?
Yes. Single-item moves, one room out of a share house and part-loads to storage are all regular work for us, priced on the two-hour minimum. We can also drop at two addresses on the one job, with the second leg charged as travel time rather than a second callout.
Do the two removalists disassemble furniture?
Yes, and it is part of the hourly rate. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and desks come apart and go back together at the other end, and we bring the tools. Wall-mounted TVs with in-wall cabling and plumbed appliances need a licensed trade — that is the one exception.
