Not sure? Send us a room-by-room list and we’ll tell you honestly which truck fits. Booking a truck that’s too small costs you more, because it means a second trip.
How much removalists cost per hour, and how we charge
- Two-hour minimum on every job.
- Billing starts when we arrive at the pickup address and stops when the job is finished — you can see both times in your live tracking link.
- Travel time is charged at a 45-minute minimum, or the actual travel time if it runs longer — never both — at your package’s hourly rate. Your tracking link shows the minute the crew left the depot.
- Weekend rates are $10 per hour above weekday rates.
- Time is rounded to the nearest 15 minutes, not rounded up to the hour.
Booking fee, cancellations and rescheduling
A $50 booking fee confirms your date and truck. It is non-refundable in case of cancellation or no-show. Reschedules are accepted free of charge with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Packing service prices
Packing and unpacking is available as labour on top of your move, or as a standalone service. Packing materials (boxes, tape, butcher’s paper, protective wrap) are supplied at additional cost — ask for a materials list with your quote.
How to pay your removalist invoice
Payment is due on completion. We accept card, Afterpay and bank transfer, and your invoice arrives by SMS with a payment link the moment the job is signed off.
Affordable removalists in Sydney without cutting corners
There is a real difference between cheap and affordable. A crew quoting $110 an hour with two people who have never lifted a fridge up a Bondi walk-up will take six hours to do what a trained crew does in four — and the cheaper hourly rate produces the bigger invoice.
What actually makes a Sydney removal affordable:
- The right truck the first time. Two trips because the truck was too small is the most expensive mistake in this industry, and it is entirely avoidable at quote stage.
- Packing done before the crew arrives. A fully boxed home loads in roughly half the time of an unpacked one. That is the biggest single lever you control.
- An early start. Sydney traffic and parking both get worse from about 8:30am. A 7am start on the same job is regularly an hour cheaper.
- Honest access information. Telling us about the stairs, the narrow lane or the 40-metre carry means we send the right crew size. Surprises on the day cost more than planning for them.
Our rates are fixed and published above. Travel time is charged as travel time, at a 45-minute minimum or the actual time if it runs longer — never both — and it is on the quote before you book, not disguised as another line item. No equipment hire, and no weekend rate that appears only on the invoice.
