Bronte and Clovelly sit either side of the same ridge, and both were built on a slope down to the water. That is the whole story of a move here: stairs, steep driveways, and streets that narrow the closer you get to the beach. The removalists Bronte and Clovelly residents rehire are the ones who ask about the approach before quoting.
We are based on Bondi Road, minutes away. On an hourly job the drive is your money.

Why does the slope decide the price here?
Because the carry does, and the slope decides the carry.
- Walk-ups and split-levels. Both suburbs are full of blocks and houses built into the hill, which means stairs at the front before you even reach the front door.
- Steep driveways. Common in Clovelly. Some cannot take a fully loaded 10-tonne truck safely, and we would rather bring the 6.5-tonne than find out on the day.
- Narrow streets near the water. Bronte Road and the streets running down to both beaches get tight, and parked cars make them tighter.
- Two different councils. Bronte sits in Waverley Council, Clovelly in Randwick City Council. Each issues removalist parking permits its own way, and a move between the two needs both.
Bronte, Clovelly and the ridge between them
Bronte is a mix of walk-up units near the beach and semis and houses climbing the hill behind it. Clovelly has more freestanding homes, steeper driveways and narrower streets as you approach the bay. The ridge between them, around Macpherson Street, is the easiest access in the area and takes a bigger truck comfortably.
We match the truck to the street. A big truck that has to park at the top of the hill costs you more in carry time than the smaller one would have cost in trips.
What we move most in Bronte and Clovelly
- One and two-bedroom walk-up units near both beaches
- Semis and houses on the hill behind Bronte
- Freestanding homes in Clovelly with steep or narrow access
- Single items and part loads, including same-day furniture delivery
- Packing and unpacking, full or partial
Beds, tables and flat-pack wardrobes come apart and go back together as part of the hourly rate, and we bring the tools. Wall-mounted TVs with in-wall cabling and plumbed-in appliances need a licensed trade — the one exception, flagged before the day rather than on it.
Where the carry is long, dismantling saves more time than an extra pair of hands. What we take apart and reassemble.

A one-bedroom unit near Bronte Beach typically runs two to three hours. Add a flight of external stairs and you add time — which is why we ask about the approach before quoting rather than after.
No fuel levy and no stair fee. Travel time is charged at a 45-minute minimum, or the actual travel time if it runs longer — never both — at your package’s hourly rate, on top of the two-hour minimum. Your tracking link shows the minute the crew left our Bondi depot, so you can check it against the invoice. Time rounded to the nearest 15 minutes, not up to the hour. A $50 booking fee confirms your date.
Track the truck — and check the invoice against the clock
Every job runs on our own live tracking system. You get a link showing when the crew leaves, when they arrive, when loading starts and finishes, and the running time as it happens.
Your invoice is generated from the times in that link. Rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Every job ends with a walkthrough and a signed completion form before we charge anything.
In two suburbs where the carry is the job, you can see exactly how long it took rather than taking our word for it.

Insured, rated and local: removalists Bronte and Clovelly can check
- $20 million public liability insurance, plus transit and cargo cover on the goods themselves.
- 5.0 stars from 94 Google reviews.
- Signed completion form on every job, so there are no invoice surprises.
- Photographed condition reports, before we start and during the move.

When a removalist says they are “fully insured”, ask which cover they mean. Public liability and transit insurance are different policies and only one protects your furniture on the truck.
Bronte and Clovelly removalists FAQ
How much do removalists cost in Bronte or Clovelly?
From $149 per hour on weekdays and $159 on weekends for two removalists and a 4.5-tonne truck, including GST, two-hour minimum. A one-bedroom unit typically runs two to three hours.
Do I need a parking permit?
Usually, unless there is a driveway. Bronte is Waverley Council and Clovelly is Randwick City Council, and a move between the two needs a permit from each.
Do you charge extra for external stairs?
No stair fee. Stairs take time and the time is on the clock, which is why we ask about the approach when you book.
Can your truck handle a steep Clovelly driveway?
Sometimes, not always. Tell us the address and we will bring the truck that can do it safely rather than the biggest one available.
Can you quote from photos?
Yes. Send photos of the rooms and the approach to the front door on WhatsApp and we will tell you the crew size and the likely hours.
How far in advance should I book?
A week for weekdays. Two to three weeks for Saturdays and the end of the month.
